Please note that due to my current work, I am unable to take on any new long-term research projects. I can refer you to another researcher in the Milwaukee area, if needed. At this time, depending on my schedule, I can do some short-term research (vital records & newspaper look-ups, etc) in Waukesha and western Racine counties, including Waterford, Burlington and vicinity.
If you are looking for assistance in Japanese genealogy research or in locating a relative in Japan, I am unfortunately unable to help you because I do not read or speak Japanese and do not have access to Japanese records. What information I have on doing Japanese-American genealogy research can be found here. I only do volunteer look-ups in two sources: a 1928 census of Japanese in Oregon and the name index to Kazuo Ito's book "Issei: A History of Japanese Immigrants in North America," which focuses primarily on the Pacific Northwest.
To reduce the amount of unwanted solicitations arriving in my mailbox, I have removed the e-mail links on my webpages and switched to showing my e-mail address as an image (inspired by Genforum):
